The structure of the pre-school children's day is slightly more formal, with the teacher guided sessions from 9.00 am - 12 noon and 1.00pm - 4.00pm. The pre-school curriculum is over seen by a qualified teacher, these sessions are free to all 4 year olds and children 3 years 4 months with a Telford postcode. Through our planning and implementation of the curriculum, staff ensure that the six Early Learning Goals (Communication, Language and Literacy, Mathematical Development, Physical Development, Creative Development, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Personal, Social, Emotional Development) which lead to the Foundation Stage at the end of the Reception Year in school, are met.
Outdoor play is available children will have access to the outside play area twice a day either on the ride on toys/bats and balls/hula hoops/climbing frame and slide or PE lessons. Books may be taken home; these are changed twice a week.
A diary is kept so that you can see exactly what your child has done that day. Your child will have the opportunity to occasionally go out on organised visits. A report will be provided on your child's progress.
